What Special Abilities Are
The official description calls them out as a headline feature: “Unleash insane anime SPECIAL ABILITIES.” These are the game’s flashy, anime-inspired combat skills — separate from base stats.
What the Community Confirms
From the official Discord (general / en-chat channels, 2026-08-09) and video footage:
- AOE stun exists — one player describes an ability as “its AOE stun” in the context of anime skills. So special abilities aren’t just damage — some have crowd-control effects.
- Skills are separate from stats — players ask about “changing the skills of 2 different rarity chickens without stat change,” implying skills and stats are independent.
- Skills can be moved between chickens — “Can you combine the two skills into one chicken?” suggests skill transfer/combination is possible (likely tied to the fusion system).
- Named skill example: “cycle of ash” — one player asks which egg hatches “the chicken that has the skill cycle of ash,” confirming named abilities exist with specific sources.
Skills Seen in Verified Footage
Skill names observed in full gameplay runs (ASR captions — treat spelling as approximate):
- Abduction / alien spaceship — lifts enemies away (also “UFO invasion” as a map event that mutates your chicken).
- Suit Up — Robo Beak’s armor transform, doubles size.
- Muolnir — Viking Rooster’s hammer attack.
- Fault Line / Gritstorm — two ability options shown in a fusion lock preview.
- Shock wave — jump + ground slam.
- Energy Wave / Northern Lights — glowing wave attacks.
- Low Gravity / Cyclone / Stardust / Tie-up (jail) — seen on Astro Chick and Nebula Chick fights.
Abilities are per-chicken and appear tied to the chicken’s type — fusing can move one ability onto a new base (see the fusion guide).
How Skills Relate to Fusion
Since fusion combines two chickens and can lock traits, the community pattern points to fusion as the skill-combination route: build a chicken that carries the abilities you want by fusing donors with useful skills onto your base.
See the fusion guide for the trait-locking mechanics.
How to Evaluate an Ability Claim
An ability name or effect can look definitive in a screenshot while its actual combat value depends on the mode, the target, and the rest of the chicken’s build. Start with what the current game screen says the ability does. Then test one use in a repeatable activity and write down the date and setup. A single large hit or a lucky outcome is an observation, not enough evidence for an exact damage formula or a universal tier placement.
Community tier lists are still useful for choosing what to test next. Read them as dated recommendations: they show which abilities players are discussing, not official combat statistics. If two sources disagree, look for the patch date and whether each source shows the same mode. A TOWER recommendation and an egg-route recommendation may be answering different questions.
Before You Commit a Donor
If an ability transfer or fusion preview is involved, identify the base chicken, the donor, and the one effect you want to protect before opening the confirmation screen. Check every lock and the resulting ability fields. Unlocked fields should not be treated as guaranteed. Use a replaceable donor when testing a new rule, and keep a screenshot of the preview and result if the action is permanent.
Afterward, compare the result in the same activity you used before. If the result does not match this guide, favor the live game UI and send the date and relevant evidence through Contact. That lets the site update a community observation without presenting an unverified outcome as official fact.
Keep the Result Reversible Where Possible
Test a new ability with ordinary gameplay before spending rare duplicates or Robux to extend the build. A clear, repeatable result is more valuable than a fast claim, and it keeps your next fusion choice intentional.
When an update changes an ability description, re-test the current version and date the observation. Older footage may still be valuable historical evidence, but it should not override a clear current in-game description.
This keeps the guide useful for planning while respecting that the game, rather than a third-party ranking, is the final source for your current build.
