How Fusion Works

Fusion (FUSE) is one of the six core systems the official description names: “FUSE two chickens into a mutated monster.”

Base + Donor

The evidence-bounded wiki describes fusion as a base + donor pairing:

• You pick a base chicken you want to keep.
• You pick a donor chicken that gets consumed.
• The result is a fused chicken with combined traits — “keeps the best of each one” (observed on video).

What You Can Lock

Before fusing, you can lock multiple fields — not just traits. Observed on video: color, hat, mask, feet, and one of the two ability slots can each be locked (paid per lock), and the rest are inherited. Fusion cost rises with the base chicken’s level, so locking in early is cheaper.

Locking Traits

The most important fusion mechanic is locking traits. Community-verified gameplay shows you can lock a specific trait onto the result — for example, transferring a “100% Thunder Egg laying” trait onto a target chicken.

⚠️ Unlocked fields are not guaranteed to copy from the donor — the preview screen shows the likely result, so check it before confirming. (Confirmed in the SpaceQT full guide.)

Gamepasses extend this:

• Fusion Lock 3 through Fusion Lock 8 unlock additional lock slots (99–899 Robux each).
• Fusion Master (1,199 Robux) grants all six lock slots at once.
• King of the Coop (1,499 Robux) includes all six slots in a bundle.

⚠️ Unconfirmed: the official descriptions say “six slots” while the store also sells Fusion Lock 7 and Fusion Lock 8 (“final” slot). The actual base slot count and stacking behavior have not been officially clarified.

The Thunder Egg Route

Community guides recommend fusing toward a Thunder Egg as an early goal:

1. Get a Thunder Egg (e.g. from the LETMECOOK code).
2. Use fusion to transfer the Thunder Egg laying trait onto a fighter.
3. Let that fighter lay Thunder Eggs to farm more of them.
4. Feed duplicates (“duplicate feeds”) to build toward fusion targets.

Visual Note

Fusion combines the appearance of the two chickens — observed in footage (color, hat, mask, feet, and glowing effects carry over from either parent). Discord players report the same (“chicken 1 and chicken 2 will like combine their look”).

Fusion Tips

• Lock the trait you care about before fusing, if you have slots.
• Fusion cost scales with the base’s level — fuse earlier if you don’t need the extra levels, or accept the rising price.
• Use the PIT to test your fused fighter’s attack before committing more resources.
• Don’t feed chickens you can’t afford to lose — fusion consumes the donor permanently.

A Safe Fusion Checklist

Fusion is a permanent inventory decision, so treat the preview as part of the strategy rather than as a formality. The game can change its interface or rules after an update, but this checklist remains useful because it asks you to confirm what your own screen says before you spend a donor.

1. Name the base first. Decide which chicken must survive the fusion. Do not select both chickens just because one has a higher number in the moment; a base can carry progress, a look, or an ability you want to preserve.
2. Name the donor and the one trait you want from it. If you cannot state the target trait, wait. A donor can be valuable later even if it is not currently your strongest fighter.
3. Read every lock and price. Locks are a paid choice, and cost scaling has been observed. Check the current price in the fusion panel instead of relying on a price from a previous patch.
4. Inspect the preview. Confirm that the base and donor are in the intended positions, the locked field is visibly marked, and an unlocked field is not being treated as guaranteed.
5. Capture the result. A screenshot before and after the fusion makes it easier to report a confusing result and helps you learn which choices worked for your own roster.

Choose Goals, Not Just Rarities

A fusion can support different goals. A player pushing the TOWER may value a combat ability; a player building an egg loop may value a laying trait; another player may simply want to preserve a favourite appearance. These are all valid, but they imply different donors. Do not sacrifice a useful trait merely because the donor’s rarity looks less exciting. The current game does not publish a full formula for every fusion outcome, so no external site can responsibly promise a single best combination for every account.

Write down the goal before you open FUSE. For example: “keep this base and try to preserve its existing ability,” or “move this observed egg-laying trait onto a fighter if the preview allows it.” If the panel does not clearly support that goal, back out and collect more evidence. Waiting costs less than consuming a hard-to-replace chicken.

After the Fusion

Test a newly fused chicken in a normal activity before building the rest of your plan around it. Compare one thing at a time: the next PIT result, the same TOWER floor, or the egg activity you were targeting. A single run is not proof of a hidden stat change, but it can reveal whether you accidentally lost the trait or ability you meant to protect. Update your next goal only after you have seen the result in your own session.
