Chicken Arena Guide — Ranks, Trophies, Medals, Arena Shop & Honors

Combat

How the Chicken Arena works in Grow a Chicken Fighter — unlock at Rebirth 5, build a three-chicken team, win Trophies, climb from Hatchling to Grandmaster, and spend Arena Medals in the Arena Shop on the Trophy Egg and Ascension Egg.

The Arena is the game’s PvP mode: your three chickens against another player’s three, one minute per match, Trophies on the line. It arrived in the August 22, 2026 update (the community’s “Arena update”) and was expanded on September 5, 2026 with the Arena Shop, Arena Honors, Player Titles, and the Trophy Egg. It is the reason late-game accounts care about skills rather than raw stats — and it is the only reliable source of Arena-currency eggs.

Mechanics below come from the official Discord announcements where they exist (links in updates) and from community guides and player testing where they do not. Anything still unverified is labeled as such.

Quick Summary

  1. Unlock the Arena at Rebirth 5 — the button appears on the right of the screen and stays locked until then.
  2. Build a team of three chickens. Skills decide fights far more than the Battle Power number.
  3. Win matches to earn three things at once: Arena Medals (currency), Trophies (rank), and Honor Feathers (permanent boosts).
  4. Spend Medals in the Arena Shop — the Trophy Egg (900) and Ascension Egg are the reasons to bank them.
  5. Climb the ladder: fixed Trophy gates up to Master V at 2,200, then percentile bands up to Grandmaster I (top 1%).
  6. Seasons reset roughly monthly, so rank rewards come back around.

How to Unlock

Reach Rebirth 5. Because each rebirth only requires clearing the current Tower floor gate (not a money threshold), this is an early wall rather than a late-game one — most accounts get there within a normal play session. Until you are Rebirth 5, no amount of PIT battling produces Arena Medals.

See the Rebirth guide for the floor-gate details and the TOWER guide for pushing floors fast.

Seasons and Resets

The Arena is seasonal and resets roughly monthly. Community sources put Season 1’s end at September 19, 2026; the ladder then started fresh.

Two resets are worth knowing about:

  • August 29, 2026 — the leaderboard was reset alongside matchmaking fixes to stop AFK farming and make matchups fairer (official Discord #updates). The former #1 player was paid 10K Robux, as promised during the previous admin abuse event. Arena rewards were also reset, so tiers could be claimed again.
  • End of each season — trophies and rank reset. Rank rewards are claimed manually from the Rewards tab, so claim before a season ends.

One practical detail about the ladder: the ranks up to Master V use fixed Trophy thresholds, but Master IV through Grandmaster I are percentile bands (Top 80% down to Top 1%). Percentile cutoffs float with the size and activity of the player base — by early October 2026, players in the official Discord reported the Grandmaster I cutoff around 14,200 Trophies, far above the 2,200 that gets you into Master V. Do not read the Season 1 table below as a fixed finish line; expect the top bands to keep inflating.

Building Your Team

  • You bring up to three chickens. Open the Arena, use Edit to pick them manually, or Equip Best to auto-fill your three highest Battle Power chickens.
  • Do not pick on Battle Power alone. Battle Power estimates damage; it does not decide fights. Abilities do. A lower-power trio with wide-hitting, fast skills regularly beats a stronger squad.
  • Re-run Equip Best after every upgrade. Players lose matches to lineups that were stale after a fusion or level-up.
  • Level all three. Unequip a maxed chicken and start feeding the next slot so every fighter gains power instead of only your first.
  • Three complementary skills beat three individually strong chickens whose abilities overlap.

How a Match Works

  1. Press GO TO BATTLE. You see your opponent’s lineup before committing.
  2. Press Battle to start, or Skip to find a different opponent. Skipping is free — a loss is not.
  3. All three chickens fight simultaneously for one minute.
  4. Each chicken’s ability can be triggered manually and then goes on a 4-second cooldown. There is also an AUTO toggle that fires abilities as soon as they are ready.
  5. You win by knocking out all three enemy chickens inside the minute.

The single most useful habit: check the matchup before you commit. If you cannot clearly beat or counter at least two of their three chickens, use Skip. Losses cost Trophies and pay no Medals, so the fastest ladder climb is the one with the highest win rate, not the most matches.

AUTO is fine for grinding easy matchups, but manual timing wins close ones — holding a burst ability to finish a nearly-dead enemy is usually better than dumping it at the opening bell.

Trophies, Ranks and Rewards

Trophy gain per win varies (roughly the high twenties to low forties, per community testing), and you start each season at Hatchling III.

Grandmaster I Top 1% 9.1M Money, 3x Ascension Egg, 100x Colossus Egg

Rewards are claimed manually in the Rewards tab once the threshold is met. Exact values shift between seasons — the in-game Rewards tab is the authority.

Arena Medals

Medals are the Arena Shop currency, and there is no passive way to farm them: wins pay 20 Medals each. Losses pay none and cost Trophies.

That makes the arithmetic simple. At 20 per win:

  • 45 clean wins = one 900-Medal Trophy Egg
  • 33 wins = one 650-Medal Colossus Egg
  • 13 wins = one 250-Medal Fortune Egg

The CHICKENCLASH code grants 50 Arena Medals plus 100 Charm Dust and 2x Hatch Luck (15 min) — worth two and a half wins for nothing. Check the codes page for what is currently active.

The Arena Shop

Added September 5, 2026. Open the Arena menu and switch to the Shop tab. Stock refreshes every 24 hours, and the Trophy Egg is capped at 5 purchases per day (the cap resets with the shop refresh, not when you spend).

Item Medals Wins needed
Charm Dust x250 80 4
2x Corn (15m) 110–125 6–7
2x Money (15m) 125 7
2x Hatch Luck (15m) 150 8
2x Damage (15m) 200 10
Fortune Egg x1 250 13
Colossus Egg x1 650 33
Trophy Egg 900 45
Ascension Egg x1 1,000–2,000 50–100

Two readings circulate for the Corn and Ascension Egg prices, so treat those two lines as approximate and confirm in your own shop before banking toward them.

What to buy first. If your goal is filling the Index, bank Medals for the Trophy Egg and Ascension Egg — they are the eggs that are hardest to get anywhere else, and both feed the collection milestones that pay out Money, Charm Dust, luck boosts, and extra flock space. The 15-minute boosts are the cheapest items on the board, but every boost you buy is Medals that would have gone to an egg you cannot obtain another way. Buy boosts only when a boost directly buys you more wins than the egg is worth.

Arena Honors and Honor Feathers

Official September 5 patch note: “Arena Honors: Win Arena Matches and unlock Honor Feathers for permanent boosts.”

Wins feed a second track alongside Medals and Trophies: Honor Feathers unlock permanent stat boosts through Arena Honors. Note that the two tracks draw on the same Arena progress — check which Honors tiers you have already cleared before spending Medals in the Shop, so you do not spend past a threshold reward you were about to reach.

Specific per-tier boost values are not publicly documented yet. Treat “Arena Honors” as a reason to keep winning after you have the eggs you want, not as a system with a published cost/benefit table.

The Rank-Up Loop

The loop the fastest climbers run, in order:

  1. Unlock by reaching Rebirth 5.
  2. Build one dominant chicken — fuse up to a meta skill carrier (see below).
  3. Power the whole team — max your Feeding Pens so chickens level faster, keep feeding between matches, and use the 2x Corn boost to level roughly twice as fast.
  4. Level a full three-chicken team, swapping a maxed fighter out for the next slot.
  5. Re-run Equip Best and enter: GO TO BATTLE, Skip bad matchups, turn AUTO on for easy ones.
  6. Rebirth for permanent buffs — rebirth multiplies damage and coin income, which makes every future run level chickens faster.
  7. Reinvest — claim saved mission rewards right after a rebirth so the cash lands on a fresh run and jump-starts it.

One micro-tip that matters early: tapping a chicken shaves 30 seconds off its egg timer, so keep clicking between feeder upgrades.

Best Chickens and Skills for the Arena

Skills change only through fusion, so the goal is to end up with a top-tier skill locked onto your best chicken — then fill all three slots with copies of that build.

Current community skill rankings:

Tier Skills Why
S Voodoo, Cycle of Ash, Rebirth Reflect + burst; heal + burst; revive with AoE
A Ride of the Fallen, Blood Draw, Split Image Sustain, burst, and a duplicate fighter
B Titan Mode, Za Warudo Strong early/mid or on specific carriers

The single most-cited pairing is Reaper Rooster with Voodoo — widely treated as the strongest endgame build. The main alternative is 404 Chick with Cycle of Ash (Nebula Hen also carries Cycle of Ash well and has the best HP of the three). The classic farm route to Reaper Rooster runs Classic Rooster → Cosmo Brat → Slugger Hen → Creepy Clown → Zombie Chick → Doll Hen, then fusing the Reaper Rooster with the Doll Hen and locking Voodoo onto the survivor. The Haunt Egg route and the Battle Charms guide cover the donor details.

Two caveats:

  • The top of the meta moves. Promotions and new chickens shift it every update; treat these as current front-runners, not a settled ranking.
  • Guildmaster Hen is the new wildcard. Players report it as the strongest chicken in the game, but it comes from the Guild Egg at reported ~0.5% per hatch — a guild project, not an Arena purchase. See the Guilds guide.

The Trophy Egg and the Ascension Egg

These two are the Arena’s exclusive chases.

Trophy Egg — 900 Medals, capped at 5 per day, five chickens:

Chicken Chance Rarity
Squire Chick ~45% Rare
Banner Hen ~30% Epic
Duelist Rooster ~18% Legendary
Bulwark Hen ~6% Cosmic
Grandmaster Rooster <1% Secret

The top pull is Grandmaster Rooster (Secret, under 1%), whose Grandmaster Order ability targets the strongest enemy with a stunning knockback and grants all allied champions a 15% ability boost — it is a support piece for high-damage carries rather than a solo win button. Note that fusing away its skill destroys Grandmaster Order, because the ability is tied to the Secret rarity. One aggregator renders the ~6% slot as “Bohen”; the name is community-reported, so expect that line to be corrected.

Ascension Egg — five chickens, with the Eclipse Hen (1%) as the chase pull, and mutations rolled separately on top of every hatch:

Chicken Chance Rarity
Skycrest Rooster 55% Mythic
Halo Hen 27% Divine
Oracle Chick 12% Celestial
Seraph Rooster 5% Cosmic
Eclipse Hen 1% Secret

The Ascension Egg comes from Rebirth Milestones (community reports put the egg rewards at Rebirth 10, 100 and 250 — three eggs total — with Rebirth Stones funding a milestone shop), from Arena rank rewards at Master V and Grandmaster I, from the Arena Shop, and — per community reports — from the Guild Shop.

Common Mistakes

Mistake Better move
Entering the Arena before Rebirth 5 Push rebirths first; the mode is locked until then
Filling slots with weak chickens Field your three strongest, upgraded fighters only
Picking on Battle Power Weight skills and cooldown timing instead
Forgetting Equip Best after upgrades Re-run it after every fusion and level-up
Taking every matchup Skip anything you cannot beat two of three
Claiming mission rewards too early Save them and claim right after a rebirth
Buying boosts before eggs Bank first for the Trophy Egg and Ascension Egg
Ignoring Rebirth scaling Keep rebirthing — it multiplies everything later
Forcing Arena when power has stalled Go back to fusing and feeding, then return

A note on AFK farming: community guides describe macro loops for trophies. They desync, they are against the spirit of the matchmaking fixes the developers shipped on August 29, and multi-account farming is already a complaint in the official Discord. The math above does not need it.
